RMHC Hockey Challenge 2018

On February 24th, hockey players from throughout the Puget Sound area will gather on the ice at ShoWare Center in Kent for Hockey Challenge 2018, presented by the Seattle Thunderbirds. The 20th annual event features local corporate and recreational teams raising money for the privilege to take part in some friendly on-ice battles prior to the Thunderbirds evening game. The day concludes with an All Star game, featuring ex-NHL players and local celebrities. All proceeds from the event benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska.

  • RMHC provided 28,603 nights of housing and services to 458 families in 2016.
  • The average length of stay is 62 nights, but a family's stay can range from several days to a year or more.
  • The Seattle House can accommodate 80 families per night and operates at capacity.
  • In January of 2017 we opened a 34-room House located in the Alaska Native Medical Center patient living facility, primarily serving pediatric patients and new mothers.
